Meet our Second Grade Team.
Ms. Dixon

I'm Donett Dixon, a dedicated second-grade teacher from beautiful Jamaica with over 20 years of experience nurturing young minds.
This is my 20th year teaching, my 8th teaching 2nd Grade, and my 2nd year teaching at Rockledge. My passion for education and commitment to fostering a love for learning have guided me throughout my career. I look forward to another great year at Rockledge.
Ms. Driscoll

Hello 2nd Graders
My name is Mrs. Joanne Driscoll. I’ve been teaching for over 20 years and am looking forward to a fantastic year in 2nd grade.
I am originally from the Philadelphia area, so of course I love all Philadelphia sports teams. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and a Master of Education. I love reading mysteries, and spending time with my family.
I’ve taught Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third grades, but my heart has always been in 2nd grade! Let’s have fun learning this year!
Ms. Wambugu

I am Noreen Wambugu, originally from Nairobi, Kenya—the land of iconic wildlife safaris, including the Great Migration, as well as diverse landscapes and rich cultural traditions. This is my 1st year at Rockledge, and I bring 15 years of teaching experience to the school community.
I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in diverse, multicultural learning environments. I enjoy bringing global perspectives into my classroom and am passionate about creating a warm, inclusive space where every child feels valued and supported.
I look forward to building strong partnerships with students, families, and colleagues throughout the school year—and sharing my love of learning, culture, and a good laugh along the way!
Ms. Sholtz

Welcome to 2nd grade!
I am Mrs. Genny Scholz and I am so excited to be your teacher this year. This is my 13th year teaching. I have taught 5th, 3rd, and 1st grade.
I graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, with a minor in History. I have taught in Idaho, North Carolina, and Virginia. I enjoy spending my free time reading, baking, and playing with my crazy puppy Duke.
I look forward to meeting all of you and having an amazing year.
